Most people think online business is a get rich instantly scheme. They will be interested to work at any online job and set themselves to go. But once they start working they won't last on the business so long due to many reasons. Of all those reasons the main one is accepting the reality that online business is a job as any other job. It has it's way of career building and development to reach at the end point which will be success. Online job will not make you rich instantly. Online job is not like betting with Sportpesa or so... Transcribing is one of many online jobs that're available for Kenyans to Join. It is a great career if you're interested in it and want to make out of it. But as any online job, it'as it's own pros and cons. We'll cover some of them in this article. Pros of working for transcription industry- 1) The requirement knowledge to be a transcriber is very little. Actually good knowledge of English language and basic knowledge of computer will do. 2) As any of online jobs, Transcription industry is also a work from home scheme. You'll choose your working time, you'll choose your working place (like if you want to do it from your bedroom, at the garden or on the beach) and also you will choose whom to work for as we have many online companies who offer this freelancing job. 3) If you're willing to learn the inside out of the industry and can play by the rule, transcription can be a great source of money for University students, home stay moms, unemployed graduates and even other people who want to be free of time records. Cons of working for transcription industry- 1) It's not an instant cash source. It's not as in you need cash for house rent and you come and get it story. It's not your ATM when you start it. It needs discipline, dedication and goals to look upwards in order to become your cash source. You can't come today and expect to get paid a load of cash next week. 2) It requires you to be very attentive to guidelines that the company your work for provide. You need also to have a good listening skill and that requires a calm working environment. You might have to glue yourself on the computer for long hours so you'll have to consider exercising every now and then in order to avoid the fatigue you're going to feel. You need to be very clever to survive in the first rookie time so that you can avoid packing your things and go home within the first two weeks. (Yeah you heard that right! Online companies also fire people!) 3) Your job needs hi speed internet. I know some people work with data bundles, but with a lot of terms, unfamiliar name of places or people and so on to research, u need to be connected to the internet to do the job. Remember you're downloading audios that need to be transcribed and after all the job is called online job for a reason.
